Jefferson Health & BMJ Best Practice Evaluation
In June 2023, BMJ met Dr. Patricia Henwood, Chief Quality Officer at Jefferson Health, during the AHA Leadership Conference. After multiple demonstrations, we worked alongside leadership team members to introduce our Clinical Decision Support Tool, BMJ Best Practice, to the broader organization. Our introduction of BMJ Best Practice to Jefferson Health began with a thorough understanding of the needs and priorities of decision-makers across the various sites. Decision makers looking to replace DynaMed in January 2025 shared their expected success measures. Their goal is to assess the tool’s commitment to quality, accessibility, ease of use, and impact on clinical practice and education. This document presents the results of the Jefferson evaluation from April to July 2024. Evaluation period start date: April 2, 2024 • Access granted across the system Launch of the Comorbidities Manager : October 1, 2024 • This unique feature is highly anticipated by physicians across the system, please see qualitative feedback. Evaluation period end date: December 31, 2024 • The evaluation period end date is subject to change as agreed by both parties.
