“The electronic patient record (Rio) integration was a straightforward process for our informatics team. We are delighted to be able to give our staff easy access to the latest clinical information from BMJ Best Practice. By more closely integrating evidence-based knowledge resources into Rio, there is the potential to reduce information barriers, increase our uptake of evidence, and improve patient outcomes. ”

‘We opted to use the BMJ search widget to integrate into one of our existing web pages as this allowed staff to add a search term directly from that web page. We chose an existing webpage that was heavily used as this made the roll out much easier. Once we received the technical information the development work took less than 1 hour to embed into the web page and make available to thousands of staff.’ Ben Scorer Systems Development Manager at Cumbria, Northumberland Tyne and Wear
